Grant Thornton LLP top 100 ranking of South Carolina's largest privately owned companies, an achievement that has
been attained the last 9 years. Park Place has remained on the list since its first appearance in 2003, and moved up to 66th position in 2011.
To qualify for the South Carolina 100, companies must be privately held, headquartered within the state and cannot
be a subsidiary of any other company. Rankings are a reflection of net revenues from the recently completed fiscal year.

INK LICENSING DEAL
GREENVILLE, SC - Licensing group Comfort Solutions and mattress maker Park Place Corp.
have signed a licensing agreement that covers 8 states and part of a 9th. Park Place will be
producing Comfort Solutions products under the King Koil name for the states of Alabama,
Florida panhandle, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

begun in 1931 and representing 3 generations of the Orders family
to the Comfort Solutions group,“ said Dave Roberts, president
of the company which is headquartered in Willowbrook, IL. “Both
Park Place and comfort Solutions have many of the same business

SAVANNAH, Ga. W.S. Badcock Corp. honored several suppliers to its Badcock Home Furniture
& more stores at its annual dealer meeting here in September. Recognized for superior service were bedroom
furniture source Embassy International, upholstery supplier Hughes Furniture Inds., IBC and Park
Place in bedding, The Import Company in tabletop, and Samsung Electronics.
Badcock, a Mulberry, Fla.-based Top 100 company with more than 300 company- and dealer-owned stores in
eight states, honored representatives of suppliers that were nominated by the retailer's category managers
and supply chain analysts. Among the criteria were product training support, fulfillment rate and damage rate.
Embassy President Mike Wurster and sales rep Mike Carter accepted on behalf of their company,
a product development and quality control business with operations in Malaysia, China, Vietnam and Thailand.
"An award from W.S. Badcock means that we are really delivering on our commitment to our customers
of providing quality products and following up with customer service and timely shipping," said Wurster.
Meanwhile, Embassy also said it also was listed for the second year on Inc. magazine's roster of the fastest-growing
private businesses, coming in at 395 this year after it was ranked 117 in 2008. The company also was ranked at No. 33
among the Top 100 Consumer Products and Services and No. 11 among the Top 100 Private Businesses in the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington area.
